When a government-trained remote viewer falls into a coma during an astral projection mission, a team of psychic operatives must journey beyond the veil—through realms of ancient heavens and demonic underworlds—to rescue her, only to become soldiers in an apocalyptic war between Paradise and Hades.
In the 1970s, the U.S. government launched Project Star Gate, a covert remote viewing initiative that used controlled astral projection to spy on enemy states. The program thrived—until it was corrupted in the late '80s by occultists, witches, and mystics, compromising its scientific integrity. Officially terminated in 1995, the project was reborn in 2008 under a private contractor: Mind Gate. Funded by military and corporate interests, the new organization carries out deep-viewing missions across dimensions for intelligence and control.
Sam, one of Mind Gate’s most gifted viewers, slips into an unexplained coma during a routine mission. When efforts to wake her fail, a specialized team of remote viewers risks their own consciousness to follow her into the astral plane.
Their search leads them to a mysterious medieval manuscript Sam secretly used to access deeper planes of reality. Following her trail, the team astral-projects to an energy vortex hidden in the ruins of an ancient Greek temple: the Necromanteion. There, they are pulled into Paradesha—a celestial dimension composed of the heavenly afterlives from the world's major religions. Inhabitants of this realm, known as governing astrals, live in peace, united under the United Paradesha Council.
But war is coming.
The lower dimension—Hades—has launched attacks on Paradesha, threatening the balance between realms. The astral council begs the team to descend into Hades, find Sam, and bring her back. The risk: if their astral forms are destroyed, their physical bodies on Earth will die with them.
Armed with etheric weapons and accompanied by winged celestial warriors, the team descends through a portal into the underworld. Riding on flying Cherubim creatures, they enter Erebus, only to be ambushed by a brutal demonic army. Most of the scouting party is annihilated. One agent is killed. The survivors are captured and forced into the hellish city’s gladiator pits, where they battle monstrous demons who feed on soul energy.
Only one survives: Michael.
Michael rises as an underground champion, earning fame among the damned. Two enslaved demons help him escape across the wastelands toward Tartarus, Hades' dark capital. Along the way, they survive attacks from marauding demon clans and forge an unlikely alliance.
Meanwhile, Hades launches a full invasion of Paradesha, striking its capital Elysium. In Tartarus, Michael discovers Sam—alive, but changed. Seduced by power, she has chosen to remain, channeling energy from Earth into the realm of Hades. She believes her return to Earth will make her godlike.
Michael battles Sam and her guards in a brutal showdown. Using a secret keyword, he severs Sam’s astral tether and sends her back to her body. But his victory is short-lived. Belial, the Demon King, descends to destroy him. Just as Michael is about to fall, an angelic army arrives in a blazing rescue.
In the final battle, Michael is gifted celestial wings, transforming him into a Seraphim, the highest order of angelic warrior. He defeats Belial, then returns with the angels to Paradesha—hailed as a savior.
When Michael finally returns to his physical body, only moments have passed. His teammates are dead. Sam has awakened... and escaped.
The war between heaven and hell is far from over.
